Acne is a disease that affects the skin's oil glands. Acne happens when oil glands attached to the hair follicles or pores. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin.
These glands make an oily substance called sebum . When your body produces too much sebum,the pores become sticky and clogged with oil and dead skin, resulting in the bacteria on your skin becoming infected and inflamed.
When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows.
Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Acne is

There are many types of pimples. The most common types are:

Whiteheads |

Whiteheads. Whiteheads that are also known as milia, are small bumps on the skin that are white in color. These are pimples that stay under the surface of the skin.

Blackheads |
• Blackheads.A blackhead is a type of acne vulgaris. Contrary to the common belief that it is caused by poor hygiene, blackheads are caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct. These pimples rise to the skin's surface and look black. The black color is not from dirt.

Papules |

Papules. Papules are inflamed acnes lesion as a small, radish bumps on the skin without any head and does not contain pus. Papules are usually painless unless they are picked open or scratched, and do not contain pus. But if papules are picked or scratched once, they can burst open and turns into itchy, crusty or infected.

Pustules |

Pustules. These pimples are red at the bottom and have pus on top.

Nodules. nodular acne consists of acne spots which are much larger, can be quite painful, and can sometimes last for months. Nodules are large, painful, solid pimples that are deep in the skin.

Cysts. This form of the infection is very painful, and the infection cannot be cured overnight. These deep, painful, pus-filled pimples can cause scars.
Who Gets Acne?
Acne is the most common skin disease. Acne can come about at any age, even babies are not spared. Close to 100% of people between the ages of about twelve and seventeen have at least an occasional whitehead, blackhead or pimple, regardless of race or ethnicity.But it is most common in teenagers and young adults. youthful babies usually get small whiteheads which may properly last for 3-6 weeks previously to they disappear.
